RSG coaxial valves offer the solution for plastic extruders
The problem
The individual valves for cooling, which were previously connected in series, often had to be replaced and serviced because the cooling medium was frequently contaminated by particles and natural components. The valves quickly became clogged. The use of individual valves also had the disadvantage that each one had to be piped individually.
The solution,
The RSG developed from its ventilation kit were coaxial valves mounted on a valve bar. Their key advantage: the switching process takes place with virtually no friction and no differential pressure. This makes such a valve significantly tighter. Its service life increases to several million switching operations. This fulfilled the customer's first requirement, namely to significantly minimize maintenance intervals and operating costs.
Only 40 milliseconds per switching operation
The coaxial valves also impress with their speed. They only need 40 ms (DN10) to open or close. This makes them more productive and efficient than conventional valves. And they offer very high repeat accuracy over their entire service life.
Flexibly expandable valve strip saves space
The space problem remains, which RSG solved with a valve strip. Its modular design allows several valves to be arranged in a very small space because the pipes are already integrated into the strip. Because the individual modules are screwed in at an angle, the valve strip can be easily expanded. This also works when there are different requirements for the individual valves.
Thanks to the modular Ventilution system, components such as pressure switches, angle seat valves, and pressure relief valves can also be added.
Determine the flow direction yourself
Technicians can even vary the flow direction. There are no limits to the possible combinations. Anything between 0 and 100 bar is possible.
The question remains: where are such properties required? A classic application is distributing a working medium to different consumers. Different media can then be collected in a single pipe. To do this, the flow direction is simply reversed.
For very high tightness requirements or recurring arrangements in a production line, RSG also manufactures valve blocks from a single piece upon customer request. This further reduces assembly and testing costs.
